My thoughts on glazing

Anyone interested in purchasing a non- glazed felt will be worried about care of them. My views are these:
In the main, dirt on the felts comes from handling; so, while hanging they are only picking up a little dust on the outermost hairs, it is not being rubbed in. Wool is good at repelling dirt. I would suggest occasional gentle shaking to dislodge the dust, and or going over the surface with the small plastic vacuum head on low suction (very occasional, not often). If after a few years for whatever reason the purchaser wants it cleaned, contact me and I will do it at as low a cost as I can. I have done this in the past for Tullie House Museum, who have a large Sky Felt in their collection which had traveled to many venues with the exhibition Presence's of Nature.
